so much for lots of knitting
So I said this would be a good year for knitting. Well I'm not off to a good start. But I have an excuse, seriously. As many of you know, my husband and I are expecting our first baby! :) Good for family, bad for knitting (at least so far).
My first trimester has left me somewhat queasy and extremely exhausted to the point of not being able to focus on knitting without feeling sick or wanting to fall asleep. It has been put on hold, but I see a light at the end of the tunnel. I'm starting to feel better, though I'm still quite tired. Hopefully (*cross fingers*) I will feel like knitting again soon.
I just got some KnitPicks Shine Worsted in the color grass to make something for the baby. The green is actually much brighter than what shows up on my monitor though, so it won't be as delicate as I was hoping. I have plenty of time though (210 days left) and baby things are so fast to knit, that I plan on making a lot!
We're a quarter of the way there!

OOOH I'm so happy for you!! The first trimester is tough - your body is adjusting. The second trimester will be better - you'll feel so much better and have more energy. Do most of your knitting then because by the third trimester you won't feel like doing anything. It goes something like this.... tired & nauseous; not so tired, but growing; tired and huge.
Good luck with the pregnancy! I know everything will go great! Let me know if there is anything you need - we still have an entire crib set (of sheets) to get rid of!!
