alphabet soup!
Stolen from my friend Mark, each of these letters comes from the logo of a famous American brand. How many can you name?

and I don’t think Tim or I ever posted these movie alphabet quizzes before either: Movie Alphabet Quiz 1980’s Movie Alphabet Quiz
update: (actually, the second was posted on linkmonger before, but the first was not)

Oh damn, N is for Nilla Wafers. How could i miss that!
And that damn F is manipulated, on the Frito bag it’s connected with the R.

I agree with all Tim’s answers (I couldn’t get G or H either) except:
- B: I think that’s Bubble Yum
- D: Downy or Dawn?
- T: Tide
- X: Twix

I just want to say that after looking up ICEE i was convinced it wasn’t the right logo. I really started to believe that it was the ICE logo from the freezers at grocery stores, but i didn’t know it was a brand though. After seeing one at the gas station the other day, the colors are correct but the snow wasn’t exactly the same. Either way it was closer than the ICEE logo.
I also fixed Alison’s links to the movie quizes… they are fun.

I actually stood next to an Icee sign today, and that is indeed where the I comes from. I have never had one in my life, and the people on the Food Network are out to get me! (I prefer Rita’s water ice.)

Joan, actually Tim is right. It’s not from Icee, as in their logo, the letters are always white. It is just plain “Ice” like you seen on the bins where you buy bags of ice at grocery stores and gas stations.

While trying to find an example of the ICE logo online, to settle this infernal ICE vs. ICEE debate, I came across this handy grocery store shopping list. Just mark each food you need to buy at the store — it’s that easy! (I also like the anime-like name of the page: “Grocery Alpha,” from the makers of “Refrigerator X” and “Produce Moon Lion.”)
Anyway, this is as good a pic I could find of an ICE machine:

Results are inconclusive.
